Application Checklist for MA & PhD

MA & PhD Application Cover Sheet
Statement of Purpose. A brief essay concerning your past academic or teaching experience and future plans
Writing Sample. An essay demonstrating your best work in criticism and theory, about fifteen pages in length.
Three Letters of Recommendation. Letters must be enclosed in sealed envelopes signed across flap.
Two Official Copies of Undergraduate and (if applicable) Graduate Academic Transcripts
GRE Score Report. Our GRE reporting codes are as follows: Institution code – 5812 / Department code – 2501.

	Application Fee. Check for $30.00 payable to “University of Florida” and enclosed in sealed envelope marked “Application Fee.” University of Florida Office of Admissions P.O. Box 2946 Gainesville, FL 32602-2946 Certification of Financial Responsibility. Required of international applicants only.
	If you printed out forms to mail in:

The deadline for admission for the MA and PhD degrees is January 15, 2008. This is for admission in the Fall semester of 2008. We do not admit graduate students in the spring or summer semesters.
