John Murchek

Dr. John Murchek holds a B.A. from Trinity College in the University of Toronto, and A.M. and Ph.D. degrees in English from Brown University. He is Coordinator of Student Affairs in the English Department. In that capacity, he advises undergraduate English majors on issues related to their coursework for the major, and works on the development of the English Department’s schedule of courses. He also teaches undergraduate courses for the English Department and the University Honors Program. His teaching interests include English Renaissance literature and culture, critical theory and cultural studies, theories and histories of sexuality, and lyric poetry and poetic theory.

In spring 2017, Dr. Murchek is available for undergraduate advising M 9:30am-12:30pm & 3:00pm-4:15pm, TR 2:30pm-4:15pm, and WF 9:30am-1:15pm & 2:00pm-4:15pm.
